The Technobox, Inc. P/N 4960 provides auxiliary RS232/RS422/RS485 async serial ports (16550 UARTS). Four ports are supported, with each port independently set up to operate at either RS232 or RS422 levels. Three of the ports are presented to the front panel via micro D9 sib-miniature connectors.
Options to terminate the differential RS422/RS485 signals with 150-ohm parallel termination are provided by design. Industry standard 16550 UARTS, operating up to 115K baud are used. The 16550-register set is accessed from the host processor via programmed I/O.
