**** URGENT ****
It is CRITICAL that this End-of-Life (EOL) announcement be reviewed IMMEDIATELY to determine any part changes that may affect your future plans. If you are a buyer, please forward this notice to engineers at your facility and emphasize its urgency.
Dear Customer,
PLX/Broadcom recently announced its plans to discontinue the PCI 9030 PCI-to -Local Bus Bridge Chip that is used in several Technobox, Inc. products. Attached is a detailed list of impacted products, along with an “action-plan roadmap” to assure your transition is as expeditious and efficient as possible.
Many products on the roadmap are “Tech Refreshed” as shown in the table. These FPGA-based designs are intended as 100% drop-in replacements for the original component. (Technobox, Inc. may consider additional FPGA-based “Tech Refreshes” with appropriate customer interest and funding.)
For older products, Technobox, Inc. secured a limited supply of PCI 9030 chips to sustain production for a short time. This remaining chip inventory will support orders on a first-come, first-served basis. The supply of 9030 chips through normal distribution may dwindle quickly, which presents significant procurement problems. Initial reports indicate further procurement may have substantial MOQs and lead times up to 26 weeks.
*** IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED ***
LTB orders will only be accepted THROUGH JUNE 10, 2020.
This is a FIRM drop-dead date that WILL NOT be extended.
Please submit your LTB orders ASAP.
Thank You,
Joseph Norris, President
Technobox, Inc.
